O Lord, let my soul rise up to meet you
as the day rises to meet the sun.
Glory to your name, O Lord
For within it lies the essence and fullness of life.
As today brings new challenges,
may you help us recognize that you are greater.
As pain draws near,
may you show us that you have overcome suffering.
You know our steps, O Lord.
Guide us, lead us, and grant us unhindered life.
In your mercy, show us the hope that lies in you.
Today, may this hope be a springboard for life.
